Natasha Ndlovu

Girl boss is the definition of Natasha! I met Natasha briefly when I was working at The Apartment for London Fashion Week and straight away I knew she was the one blogger who I wanted to photograph. Her style is so chic and she's so effortlessly fashionable.

We started the day by doing a quick lifestyle shoot at Farm Girl Cafe, which is also where Natasha introduced me to the best Rose Latte ever, the coffee literally had rose petals in the mug! Then we proceeded to do some street style shots, where Natasha wore an amazing shoulder padded denim jacket. If you know me, then you know that I love a good denim jacket, I practically live in them.

Tangle Teezer at LoveBox

On the day Frank Ocean and Solange played Love Box, I got the chance to shoot for Tangle Teezers and Disney UK. (I'm not allowed to show the Disney photos due to the contract I signed, but I have linked their Instagram below). I worked with the Digital Fairy to shoot for Tangle Teezers and on the day I went around searching for fun hair styles to capture along with shooting their new brushes. Glitter, space buns and braids was definitely a consistent hair style along with sequin attires. You can view all the photos from LoveBox on the 'photography' tab. Make sure to check out my Instagram to see new upcoming shoots with brands and bloggers.

Sing Gentry (Gurj Sohanpal)

Gurj and I have been planning to do a shoot for so long! So what better way to do a shoot that is dedicated to his birthday! Hence the reason for the red balloon in the photos. The shoot was a collaboration with the fashion brand, NEXT, which is why Gurj is kitted out in the brand.

If you don't know Gurj has the greatest collection of suits I have ever seen! Check out his Instagram @singhgentry to see how he styles his suits along with being jealous of all his travels!

MARK LIVERMORE

I met Mark at The Clck event at The Sanderson hotel and straight away we hit it off, Mark is so down to earth and easy to get along with which is why I was so excited to do a shoot together and this one was in collaboration with the fashion brand, Reiss.

Mark’s Instagram is all about minimal tones and attention to textures, so the new Serpentine pavilion design was the perfect place to hold the shoot. This shoot was one of the funniest, as if you saw my Insta-story we got lost! Which is no surprise coming from me, but also how Mark is so down to earth and easy to get along with. Make sure to check the rest out @marklivermore for his upcoming travels.

MISSDEFIANT

I met the duo at the Debut Mixer and straight away we hit it off. I loved their flamboyant style, especially their glitter statement lips and it was great that in that one night we had already arranged to do a photoshoot that coming weekend! The shoot was in a Church in Acton and whilst they recorded the acoustic versions of their new songs, I photographed the behind the scenes. Watch this space for more upcoming shoots with the duo (Emily and Jordan)

SEBASTIAN LILJEBLAD

Seb was a dream to work with, being a confident model and a business owner made posing in front of the camera look so easy. We toured around Notting Hill finding different locations to shoot in, plus it was great that Seb was not phased by my bad tour guiding skills. One of my favourite shots was when I captured Seb with the leaves. One, it was surprising that we’re in December and there was leaves still attached on the tree branches instead of being on the ground and two because I love capturing nature. A little bit of greenery can really brighten the photo. Throughout the shoot Seb said “Lets go Wild!” and it was pretty ironic that at the end of our shoot we passed a flower shop called ‘Wild at Heart’, which made for a nice send off.

Debut's Mixer

I went to the second Debut Magazine Mixer event and networked with models, make-up artists, designers, singers and other photographers. It was a great environment to socialise with people in the industry who are roughly the same age. For the past year now I have worked with well-established people in the creative sector from photographers, stylists and CEOs of creative brands and therefore connecting with people who are trying to break into the same industry as me is quite nice and reassuring that I’m not alone.

On the night I indulged in their fancy pink strawberry cocktails and fruity cupcakes. Along with getting a free magazine to celebrate the launch of their second issue and a treats bag filled with skin care products and mini badges. Also please excuse the iPhone quality photos, I was to attend this event not photograph for it.

Sarah Mikaela

I met Sarah Mikaela from FramboiseFashion.com during London Fashion Week and since we share the same name (just a different version of spelling) it was no wonder we would hit it off. On the day of the shoot we toured around the streets of Soho capturing her emerald green attire: the top WonderBash in support of breast cancer and the gorgeous Gestuz velvet trousers that definitely caught people's attention. Sarah Mikaela was a natural in front of the camera and this was probably one of my favourite shoots to do.

DEAN CHALKLEY

This year I had the opportunity to work with the photographer, Dean Chalkey. I helped out on shoots with him for brands, such as Hush Puppies and Jocks & Nerds and meeting artists, such as  Richard Ashcroft ( the lead singer from the band, The Verve). The best part on working with Dean was the fact he photographed my favourite singer, Amy Winehouse! Funnily enough the photo I used on my cover photo on Facebook (years ago) was the photo he photographed! I would constantly ask questions about Amy to Dean, such as "what was was she like?" and "how was she to photograph?".  Chalkey never failed to surprise me about facts about Amy or the fun energy she brought on his shoots.

On one of our last meet ups I photographed Dean in his office using his quirky Fuji camera, that's why I only have this poor iPhone quality instead.

HENRY HOLLAND

I was lucky enough to attend the interview between Monica Beatrice and Henry Holland. The talk was about his SS17 collection of House of Holland and to celebrate his 10 years of being in fashion. I had to share his Instagram post, as I still find it crazy that Rachel (@theaptmt work mate) and I built that room. It took us 3 days to create and it proved to be a great success, as it became the bloggers favourite room!

Henry Holland was so down to earth, he explained how he got into fashion, his party life with the model, Agyness Deyn and how he came up with the tee slogan shirts that ultimately defined his brand.

EGO'S BRUNCH

Ego's Brunch was definitely one of my favourite events we hosted during London Fashion Week, I loved how we organised the space in nude tones (even displayed the food and drinks with that colour process to match the brand's colour scheme). Ego told us to wear their brand throughout the day and I was given a nude, patent ankle boots which I styled with a pink checkered dress. Throughout the event I was complimented on my 60s style and I was even featured on their InstaStory and SnapChat, (I was not even aware at the time!)

After I had a photo of my outfit in the Concept Room, that Rachel and I actually built for The Apartment. A room that became notorious for bloggers to post and have a mini shoot of their style in. Excuse the phone quality photos, I was not photographing this event, but hostings.
